Training Implementation Program
Human resources training is being carried out to provide for effective project implementation of various project activities. Training is also considering the needs of local beneficiaries as well as improving technical personnel capacity.

• Training workshops with technicians of the FMB on the ALCES system (ALCES is “A Landscape Cumulative Effects Simulator”). Forem Technologies developed ALCES®, a software tool used for landuse planning in North America to help stakeholders understand tradeoffs from alternative land planning scenarios. ALCES® is a user-friendly landscape simulator that enables stakeholders to explore and quantify the effects of multiple human landuse practices to assist in land management planning (for more details, see http://www.foremtech.com/products/pr_alces.htm)
• Socio-economic workshops held to obtain and evaluate information for a database.
